Djumiot is a male satyr standing at 5'5", with a deer-like appearance including hooves, rather floppy ears and short tail, and antlers about 3/4th a foot in height. His eyes are orange and he has dark brown speck-patterns on his back and limbs that would be visible if he wasnt wearing covering clothes, as well as a few on his face. He has a slimmer than average build. his skin is tan while the fur on his legs and forearms, as well as shorter, fluffy hair, are a medium brown. He wears a vest and simple pants cuffed up to his knees, both black, with a plain dark brown shirt underneath with the sleeves rolled up. He's also wearing hunting gloves and a bullet belt, along with a dark green scarf.
Whether it be a sort of vengeance for his kin, or more likely his own personal enjoyment, Djumiot wanders as a bounty hunter, tracking his targets for days on end awaiting the perfect moment to crawl aside a cliff face, ready his rifle and cross a name off a list, gun still warm. He claims not to take pride in it, though his change in attitude between on and off jobs (regardless of the pay) says otherwise.
His sight is set on a larger target however, that being Cupid, the bounty hunter who stole his wife and daughter out of his arms, sending one of her pawns to do the job for her and ultimately kill the wrong target. He never knew for sure the fate of his child. He left the Feywild soon after, moving alone to the Material Plane to take his anger out on the undead, which over time led to him becoming a bounty hunter with 50 kills under hsi belt over the course of 4 years. While at first Djumiot intended to kill this person, with each day praying to wake up with Lily at his side as all just a bad dream, his anger twisted around so that he would rather take something of equal value to his late wife and child, though something or someone of this value is a target he has been hunting for years and still has not found a trace of if it exists. He is riding the hope something is out there, however, and as soon as he finds what it is he intends to hold nothing back, physically nor mentally.
Before the incident, Djumiot was a pushover, startled at loud noises but focused on his family above all. Having worked originally as his own family’s hunter, he tended more often than not to get into dangerous situations which led to being urged by Lily to settle down and help her raise their daughter Rue away from the noise and instead growing their own food / livestock rather than tracking it down deeper into the woods. He quickly grew fond of that lifestyle, as pacifist as it was, because his wife and child were safe and happy, and that’s all that mattered.
Now, it would be hard to connect the past with the present, his meekness gone as if something had been holding him back from being the person he is now. While he has lost his younger self’s sort of innocence, he has not let go of his whimsy, if you could call it that. While he’s often able to keep impulse at bay and simply get jobs done and leave it at that, he’s found that it’s been harder to do so than he recalls in the past, these either being as little as kidding around when not socially acceptable, rash decisions to steal items because they are shiny, to even taking out more targets than necessary under the reasoning (if you choose to believe it) that they were too close for comfort. It’s hard to believe his words claiming that he does not enjoy it, nor does he try to uphold the lie very well.
While on a certain bounty job, this side of Djumiot took over his sense, leading him to act on impulse and steal a rifle that caught his eye as particularly shiny and was just within reach (more so sitting on a table while some scary looking guards were not looking) while on the exit from a job. Little did he know that this rifle would give him a taste of his own medicine, being a magic item belonging to Cupid, being in the wrong place and looking away from at the wrong time. With the gun not making it back into Cupid’s hands, and the reports from the soldiers having noticed a certain deer man around the time it disappeared, the hunter quickly became the hunted. It is ironic however how little of value this initial event was to Djumiot, who doesn’t even really remember stealing the rifle as notable and hasn’t really connected the dots as to why he keeps getting tracked down and attacked by the undead he intended to do the same to.
After getting lost in the woods looking for the target Alice Blossom given by an unnamed individual, Djumiot wandered into a cabin along with 2 others, Atticus Nowhere and Selene, when it got attacked by a horde of undead. He didn't remember much of the battle, and when he woke up the next morning, the Aasimar he thought he killed, Alice, was with the group having always been there, while he apparently hadn't, and after initial shock he wasn't looking to announce that he had been sent to kill what seemed to be the only people in miles' friend. The group was directed by the owner of the cabin, a witch named Ruby, to go talk to the forest spirits to figure out why they aren't allowed to leave yet, afterwards everyone finding out they are meant to stop a war between the Enders and Sustainers in their views of the state of magic in the world. In the meantime, the party went to close a portal with undead summoning out of it, to which Djumiot jumped the gun and fired first, leading to the party facing off reinforcements as the portal eventually got broken.
When coming back to camp after a bit of something, Djumiot didn't remember much of the events form then to the moment as it seems all a haze, and frankly I as a player can't fucking remember the session he WAS in after that so I'll update this part later and skip that part too. Then he woke up early and saw big scary creature, decided to go ham on it missing every shot while Alice Blossom a few yards away was doing makeup, both eventually started chasing the creature into a cave where the sound of a child was calling for their "daddy". Alice took the left side to find the child while Djumiot took the right to attempt to gun it down without hesitation, when the flew right through him to take back its child from Alice, sending Djumiot into his own mind to relive the fear of the monster that took his family, taunting him in the white expanse that "Memories are dangerous things. You turn them over and over, until you know every touch and corner, but still you'll find an edge to cut you." While for the time Djumiot was paralyzed, and Alice watched as her companion and resident slime girl Nila was splattered into a puddle alongside multiple corpses of beings from before. After the two regained their footing, only slightly, a whispy creature had appeared but due to the wild magic in the area, disappeared before it was really able to get it's words out. In the same cave, however, were 3 sister witches Saturn, Pluto, and Earth along with their dog brother Mars, who offered to revive Nila upon stepping out their front door to see Alice and Djumiot trying to fill containers of slime. Both of them tried to rizz up Earth and Saturn respectively, Alice appealing to the semi-narcissist Earth and flirting with her while Djumiot tried the same with Saturn while spending 5 minutes looking for a written introduction about himself but being humored by the pretty lady bc she thought it was funny, whom of which subconsciously reminded Djum of his late wife.
After the two returned back to camp, the others woke up but because everyone wanted to take it easy that day, it turned to a day of wandering around looking for water for Nila to reabsorb and not regaining sleep to Djumiots displeasure. Selene Alice and Djumiot look for water and find a lake along with beavers, and Nila accidentally absorbs majority of the lake becoming 80 ft tall. After a lot of wild magic and Nila shenanigans to attempt to turn her to a respectable size and not an army of little Nilas, one of which wild magics zapped Djum from 32 to 23 years old, eventually the party settles on a few Nilas in different forms including 2 dragons 2 cats 2 squirrels and 2 bugs. While making small talk Atticus asks Djumiot about his relation with the feywild, the question of which being about the weather, and due to trying to remember the weather the last time 4 years ago he was in the feywild being replaced with the vivid memories of the murder for the second time in 24 hours, he got sent to his mind and paralyzed again as the murderer said that "although there are ways to get them back you are none of them; oh by the way save one shot for yourself if you would be so kind", though having processed the same memory earlier (beating the save DC) Djumiot regains a point of his sanity persay, after which he goes back to sleep.
The next day, Alice and Atticus are nowhere to be found as if they hadn't existed at all beforehand, and Selene and Djumiot find a Dhampir like Selene named Vena who tries to convince Selene to seek revenge against the angels who tore apart her hometown, which Selene is incredibly hesitant to agree due to bad memories with that town but eventually agreed for the sake of her species rather than hometown. The 3 (Nila is being a teen and went off to do her own thing) go back to camp but find an angel going through the camp, sends out Djumiot who fails to rizz her up and when she doesn't leave Vena fights and kills her, though before that she mentions that the rifle Djumiot stole actually belonged to the general of the undead army and wasn't in fact just "idk I found it on a table", whom the angels want to fight against in the war and briefly offered Djum to fight with the angels but yadayada nah he just has one thing in mind and the entire war isn't part of it. The 3 make it to a giant dark mansion (?) after that to fight the angels (?).
He briefly woke up in a white void once more, not knowing that the other party members were there fighting monsters as well but in the brief moment he watched the scene of the last moments of his wife and child play out once more, and once more unable to do anything to stop it before getting knocked out shortly after.
